Funko Pop Price Guide 2025

How Funko Pop Prices Work

Funko Pop prices are driven by supply and demand in the secondary market. When a Pop is retired (vaulted), supply becomes fixed while demand can continue to grow. Key price drivers include: character popularity, variant rarity (Chase, Convention Exclusive), production numbers, and franchise relevance (new movies, shows, or games can spike demand).

Prices typically come in three conditions: New in Box (NIB) — the most valuable, with a mint condition box; Out of Box (OOB) — the figure without its box, typically 20-40% less; and Damaged Box — a new figure with box wear, usually 10-20% below NIB.

Understanding Price Tiers

We categorize Funko Pops into five price tiers:

- Common (Under $10) — Standard retail Pops, widely available - Uncommon ($10-$25) — Slightly above retail, often recently vaulted - Rare ($25-$50) — Sought-after figures with growing demand - Ultra Rare ($50-$100) — Limited editions, popular characters, or older vaulted Pops - Grail ($100+) — The holy grails of collecting. Convention exclusives, low production runs, or legendary characters

Most Funko Pops fall in the Common to Uncommon range. Only about 5-8% of all Pops reach Grail status.

What Makes a Pop Valuable

Several factors contribute to a Funko Pop's value:

1. Vaulted Status — When Funko retires a mold, supply is fixed forever 2. Chase Variants — 1-in-6 rarity variants are always worth more than commons 3. Convention Exclusives — SDCC, NYCC, and ECCC exclusives have limited runs 4. Character Popularity — Main characters from hit franchises command premiums 5. Franchise Momentum — New movies or shows can 2-3x prices overnight 6. Box Condition — Mint boxes can add 20-40% over damaged boxes 7. Production Errors — Misprints or manufacturing defects create one-of-a-kind pieces

How to Track Prices

Use our price tracker to monitor prices across all major Funko Pop series. Set up price alerts on your watchlist to get notified when items hit your target price. The Movers page shows which Pops are trending up or down, and the Deals page highlights items that have dropped significantly from their highs.

Pro tip: Items that drop 30%+ from their peak often represent buying opportunities, especially if the underlying franchise has upcoming content releases.
