Funko Pop Box Condition Grading Guide

For in-box collectors, the box is just as important as the figure inside. A mint box can add 20-40% to a Pop's value compared to a damaged box. Understanding box grading helps you accurately price your collection and make informed buying decisions.

Mint (M) — Perfect condition. No dents, creases, tears, or wear. Colors are vibrant, windows are clear and unscratched. Edges are sharp and clean.

Near Mint (NM) — Very minor imperfections visible only upon close inspection. Perhaps a tiny corner ding or slight shelf wear. Still displays beautifully.

Very Good (VG) — Some visible wear. Minor creases, small dents, or light scuffing. The box is intact and the figure is fully visible through the window.

Good (G) — Noticeable wear including creases, dents, or small tears. The box still functions as a display piece but shows clear signs of handling.

Fair (F) — Significant damage. Major creases, tears, or crushing. The box may be partially open or missing flaps. The figure may still be inside but the box is not collector-grade.

Damaged (D) — Heavy damage. Box may be torn, waterlogged, or structurally compromised. Suitable for out-of-box display only.
